FAQ

What is an eSIM?

An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. You add a new mobile data plan by scanning a QR code, without swapping any card. Your regular SIM and number stay as they are.

Does my phone support eSIM?

Dial *#06#. If an EID number appears, the phone usually has eSIM. Your phone must also not be carrier-locked. Some regional models don't support eSIM; see the compatibility guide.

How soon will I get my eSIM?

Usually within a few minutes. The QR code appears on the confirmation page straight away and is also emailed to the address you enter at payment, so make sure it is correct. Check your spam folder if you can't find it.

When does validity start?

It depends on the plan. Some start on first data use, others when you install the eSIM or connect to a local network. Each plan's details say which. An eSIM also has to be activated within a set time after purchase or it expires.

Can I install it before I travel?

Yes. Installation needs an internet connection, so install on Wi-Fi, then turn on data roaming when you arrive. Most plans start validity on first data use, but some start when you install or connect to a network, so check the plan details first.

Will my regular SIM and number be affected?

No. You can keep your regular SIM for calls and texts and only switch mobile data to the eSIM. Turn off data roaming on your regular SIM to avoid roaming charges.

Can I use a personal hotspot?

Most plans support hotspot. Each plan's details say whether it does, so check before you buy.

The plan says full speed with no throttling. Does that mean unlimited?

No. Full speed means your speed is not reduced and there is no daily cap while the plan's data lasts. But the total data (for example 10GB) is a hard limit: when it is used up the connection stops and does not slow down and continue. Validity is also a limit, and whichever runs out first ends the plan.

What do "mobile operator" and "internet (IP) location" mean?

The mobile operator is the local telecom company that provides the signal. Some plans can use several operators, and your phone automatically picks the one with the stronger signal; you can't choose. If the supplier doesn't publish the operator, we don't guess. The internet (IP) location is where websites think you are when you go online. It may differ from where you are, and some streaming services, banks or government apps may limit features based on it. Each destination page also has a glossary.

Do I need to register or verify my identity?

Some countries and regions require real-identity registration or verification for mobile services under local policy, most commonly for SIMs/eSIMs that come with a local phone number, calls or SMS. Rules differ by place and can change. Most of our plans are data-only eSIMs, and the supplier's information shows no extra registration step; if a particular plan has special requirements, they are written in that plan's details and under "Plan notes" in your email and on the confirmation page. Please check with the local carrier or the supplier before you travel. We cannot complete verification for you and cannot control local rules.

What if I run out of data?

We don't offer top-ups yet. You can buy a new eSIM and use that.

What if I enter the wrong email at payment?

The QR code also appears on the confirmation page, so save it or take a screenshot straight away. If you have already left the page, contact us as soon as possible with the name, time and amount of your payment. We will verify and do our best to help, but we cannot guarantee a reissue. We are not responsible if an eSIM reaches someone else because of a mistyped email.

Can I get a refund?

An eSIM is a digital product delivered immediately. Refunds depend on whether the eSIM has been installed or activated and whether there is a technical fault that can't be fixed. See the refund policy.

Is payment secure?

Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
